Introducing Trak-Met

Trak-Met is a lead manufacturer brand in Europe for Sawmill machinery. The company was established in 1997 by Zbigniew Skillandat based in Biskupiec in the Warmia-Masuria Province in Poland. Dynamic development of the manufacturer has resulted in their machines selling across 14 European countries. We built our relationship in 2016 when we visited their base to buy a firewood processor and bandsaw. We were so impressed with the machines qualities we agreed to be their representative for the UK. Our strong working relationship has successfully enabled us to sell, deliver, set up and maintain many machines to customers all cross the UK.

A little about us

Stewart (owner and director) was looking for a new business to work alongside the existing Accasion Marquees Ltd company, which has been operating from the old station yard since 1992. With his interest in woodworking inspired by his father, Stewart began looking for a firewood processor and bandsaw. After a visit to a manufacturer in Poland with our lead foreman, he invested in machinery produced by TRAK-MET and the sawmill was established.

The sawmill began cutting firewood and selling it in the local parishes. Pawel became very skilled using the bandsaw and started selling cuts of wood at customer requests. Impressed by the quality and value of the Trak-Met machines, they decided to become the UK agent for the Polish manufacturers.

Today, the sawmill has its own kiln, sells and delivers firewood, saws planks, oak beams, cladding etc. and arranges the imports and sales of TRAK-MET machinery for the UK.

Self Build Project

Stewart assisted his daughter Leanne in building her own home using timber from the sawmill. The outside pergola, the balcony, the oak porch post, the oak dining table, and the skirting boards were all milled at the old station yard.
